High expectation, but not happy now. It worked for three times - painted cabinets with latex thinned with Flotrol and water. Cleaned the spray gun well after each use and made sure that clean clear water was flowing through it. I think the twist valves need to have a locking mechanism, especially the air pressure valve, because every time I pick it up, my little finger twists the knob to the off direction. The first time it happened I was stumped - could not figure out why it would not spray!
Now,on the fourth attempt (to spray the cabinet doors) after a thorough cleaning, I have lots of pressure and no paint. I checked all the orifices and there are no clogs that I can find. There are no good directions with this sprayer, so I went to the internet and found someone who posted a knowledgeable troubleshooting discourse. I tried all his tricks and I cannot get paint out. Some paint does flow when I turn the sprayer upside down! So, the sprayer no longer works for me.

I should have purchased a gravity fed sprayer and one that would lay down more paint. I gave the doors at least three coats of paint and still had to go back and use a roller. The sprayer worked well but I don't think it was designed to do what I needed.

I've bought a lot of tools over the years. This spray gun has the worst user manual I've ever seen. There are omissions here and there, and references to pictures that don't exist. The unit and it's components are referred to by differing names. The grammar is confusing. There is a huge contradiction about not using a quick connect right at the gun and then later it directs you to use one for oiling. Spelling is a joke, translations to English are in error everywhere. The parts listings were meant to be listed in order as shown - they aren't. Typically, many of these issues would have been mitigated, had the manufacturer used an English speaking person to write the manual, but this goes way beyond that - it is just sloppy, lazy work regardless of language barriers.

Why would any company spend a small fortune developing a tool and then only pennies to document how to use it?

I tossed out the manual and used the documentation from the Home Depot web site for their Husky spray gun (its basically the same).

Poor trigger control. Use this only for shooting base stains. Too crude for topcoats and transparent shading (lacquers).

Works decently, but with no directions, getting it adjusted is a PITA. Used with exterior semi gloss, and could not get it adjusted the way I want. Also, after using for about 10 minutes, it builds up a substantial amount of moisture, which drops onto your painting surface. Caused quite a bit of consternation getting it cleaned up and repainted, just to have it happen again. Moisture trap needs to be fixed for sure.
