I needed to widen 4 7/1634; holes through 1/834; steel. The bit accomplished this, though I don't know if it would have done many more. They last hole took a little time, but it did what I need it to do, so that's worth four stars to me. I also used a drill press as I can't imagine doing this with a hand drill (I think that would be difficult with most any bit).

I would've given this 5 stars but it's advertised as a five pack but you only receive one bit. Otherwise it's a great bit. Love jobber bits for drilling hard metal.

Used one for drilling solar mounting holes through an asphalt shingle roof. Bit was pretty will shot after 21 holes. Something about drilling through hard granular roofing.
