This product was an exact fit. It was very easy to replace. All I needed was a flat-head screwdriver to help pry the keepers apart and the broken part practically fell out. This replacement slipped right into place and fit perfectly.

These levers are difficult to install but gotta' have it to use the vacuum. Had to cut the little tabs on the old one to get it out to install the new one, there's probably some kind of special tool for that. If you're like me and don't want to throw out a perfectly good vacuum because of a $5 broken part-go for this and fix the vacuum yourself. Worth the effort.

HAVE A BISSEL CLEARVIEW 2 MOD3576-6 AND THE UPRIGHT RELEASE FOOT PETAL TENSION KEEPER BROKE. THIS PART IS AN EXACT REPLACEMENT AND WORKED FINE. THE ONLY DIFFICULTY IS REMOVING THE BROKEN PART. IT REQUIRED ME TO CUT THE LITTLE SIDE TABS TO BE ABLE TO REMOVE THE BROKE PART. THE NEW PART IS A SIMPLE PRESS IN.

This lever perfectly fit an older model powerforce helix 12b1. The hardest part was getting the old broken lever out. Save yourself the time, look up a vid on youtube. It isn't really hard, just a pain. But the new one just snaps right in there, no problem! And now the vacuum stands up on its own again!

Others claimed to be an exact replacement, but this one is for the Bissell Cleanview 2. Thanks for being true to the description.

I found a video that shows how to remove it or I would never have figured it out. Even with that help, removal required a careful blend of force and delicacy to avoid breaking the mounting area. Once it was out, though, installation was literally a snap--poke it in the hole, push downward, and listen for the snap. Done.

To those of you with an older model Bissell that have had this part listed as discontinued , no longer available take heart, it is exactly the same as on many older models... while I can't vouch for all the different models, this part has several different part 's from several different models...

If expecting an OEM this is not. As others have stated you will have to modify to work. I too had to shave off some near the bottom as a previous person described. Compare your old piece to the new one and you will see what needs to be done. Note this is the taller leaver and is what I needed. Compare the pictures to your old piece to make the right decision. The only issue I had after installed was the lever stuck in the down position. The center guide on the bottom of lever is slightly thicker. My remedy was to spray with silicone spray and with time it would wear itself in. One week in and it is working good as new. If you do use silicone spray, spray then work the lever back and forth a bit, and saturate one more time then leave it alone. This way the silicone will stay in place. I used a Dremel tool with a thin cutoff blade. Take your time, work in small increments and it will look like the original. Good luck.
