This tripod is pretty good. It's steel so it won't break easily, sets up in a flash, and isn't terribly unwieldy if you have to carry it. It's stable enough that it's usable but it will collapse if bumped too hard. Make sure that you have the legs evenly spaced and pushed into the ground a bit and you'll be fine. If properly set up it will easily support a 14 Dutch oven.

This will work, but after you get the legs in the ground and sturdy, it's a bit on the small side. Overall not a bad purchase, but wouldn't buy again.

Works like a charm. I'll probably rig additional chains to hold a travel grill as well, which would have been nice, but works great with the dutch oven!

It even holds large cauldrons (or dutch ovens). Tried it with a 22 liter (23 quart) Hungarian goulash cauldron and tested it by filling it all the way up and stirring it and the tripod held it very stable. FYI: With this configuration there is 8 inch from the ground to the bottom of the cauldron. It came with a carry bag which was a nice surprise.
