By far the most common work boots in a correctional environment. Very comfortable and the zipper on the side of the boots make it super easy to put them on and take them off!I would highly recommend these boots! Great product and low cost!I wear these every day for work and get close to a year of use from these. The only boots that I'll wear.

Love Bates boots, these are the cheaper model but perfect for daily moderate use.

Bates makes great utility boots and this is no exception, but I highly recommend that you replace the included sole insert with a better orthotic if you wear them for long periods or heavy use.

These boots are great utility boots for the price in my opinion. They fit comfortably and are relatively durable as I use them also for riding a motorcycle. The only issue I have with them is that the right one squeaks when walking. Although quiet when initially put on and laced up, the right tongue tends to shift itself over leading to a rubbing sound. It does not effect the fitment, nor is it uncomfortable, but the noise is irritating after a while. I have to loosen the lace, move the tongue to center again and then tighten the lace back up. I have never had this problem with other brands, including military issue.

Don't be fooled by the side zipper, these are not easy to pull on. There needs to be a loop on back to grip for pulling on. The fit is very good and snug once on. But the struggle to put them on is terrible. Laces are poor quality and are pain to pull tight. Lacing will be necessary to put boot on everytime. The amount of difficulty in sliding foot into boot with only zipper open is horrible. Boot was cheap, now I know why. Perhaps I can have a cobbler install a pull loop. Boots are light weight. Too bad they don't have a pull loop.

These are my second pair and they feel really good, fit well. Only problem is durability, lasted about 3 months before they started to rip from the sole of the boot.

It's a good work boot and fits well. As others have said, they need to come with longer boots laces and could benefit from some well placed pulls to help get the boot on. If those two features were added, I would give it a 5. But, I've worked all day in them and they are still comfortable at days end.

I bought these last May, so didn't make it a full year. There was a blowout on top of the back heel at a seam. Really liked them, lasted long enough but working in an office everyday I expected them to last longer. Quick on and off and comfortable enough.
