The book I received was of course used, but in decent condition. Some pages were written on; however, for the price you're paying for the book it's expected. All in all, the price is write and the condition of the book isn't that terrible and all the pages are attached. Which means it can get me through the class and it's actually very interesting to read.

I am loving this book. I am currently studying ASL in college and this book has great insight into the deaf world and how life is different for deaf people. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to know more about deaf culture or just deaf people in general. Really opened my eyes.

In this book I could learn about Deaf Culture in more depth. They show various examples/stories coming from Deaf people. The stuggles, the joys... It has some really good information in it, very educational.

I love this book. I am taking Deaf Culture in college and this is the text book. But if you want to learn about the Deaf, I highly recommend this book. It is an easy read. It's excellent in letting you know what the Deaf deal with and where their culture came from.

I bought this book for my Deaf Culture class and I am very glad that this was required reading. Although I have been taking ASL classes for 10 years and have been involved in the Deaf community I still found this book to be very eyeopening. I highly recommend this book to everyone. It is well written with good flow and gives insight to the Deaf perspective.
