For some reason, when I read the description, I thought the ringer connected via Bluetooth. I was wrong. You have to plug the phone into the device.<br />the ringer is definately loud. We used it for my husband, who is on the SWAT team and has to be able to hear his phone for call outs in the night. He is an extremely heavy sleeper and I thought this might help. It proved to be cumbersome and inconvenient. The ringer was difficult to shut off once it was set off. If he had to answer a phone call, often times the ringer would keep sounding. Overall just poorly engineered.
