The tape holding the bridle and reins was yellowed from heat or old stock. When gently removing the tape, it pulled part of the finish from the bridle. There was no way to avoid it.

Breyer Hunter stuff is overpriced anywhere you go. The bridal was stiff and difficult to install on the collectable horse my 9-year-old grandaughter begged for Christmas. I also got her the dressage saddle somewhere else and we found all the gear to be not user-friendly for a child's fingers. My experience was that you have to buy this stuff online so you don't realy see what you are getting and these kids collectable fads are stupid expensive. She tried to hide the fact that she was disappointed but $70 later for the kit and caboodle I knew she was

I love this bridle! It is kind of hard to put on, but once you get the hang of it it's easy. There is one this about this bridle though- it is not made for little children who aren't gentle. The adjustment broke and I had to take tweezers and pull it back through, then super glue it. I love it and would definitely recommend- just be gentle when playing with it! Anybody who loves breyer anything will love this!
