These are not very good quality. I am using them in my Pilates studio and they've become worn and pitted with very little use. I won't be buying these again.

A little under 5/8&#34; thick and it looks like it was cut with a dull blade; the edges are very unfinished. It literally looks like a byproduct from some other manufacturing process, repackaged, and sold as a &#34;yoga mat&#34;.<br /><br />The low price can excuse the cosmetic shortcomings listed above. What is not excusable is THE SMELL! The chemical smell coming off of this mat is nauseating. I haven't even been able to use the mat yet due to not being able to be in the same room with it. I'm not sure if the smell is coming from the mat itself, or from some other chemical used in the making of the mat that is still lingering. Currently, the mat is &#34;off gassing&#34; in a warm room with adequate ventilation. Previously it was in the garage, but the cold temps likely prevented any real smell dissipation. I'm hoping that after a few days at warmer temperatures the smell will subside. Otherwise, I'll reduce my rating to one star, roll the mat up, stuff it in a cardboard box, draw a target on the box, and use it as an archery target (seriously).<br /><br />OK, I just knelt on it while holding my breath. It does feel nice and cushy and my knees didn't pack down the foam much at all. I sincerely hope the smell goes away though. Or not, since I do need a new archery target.

If you are a serious yoga practitioner, do not buy this mat. While it is thick, it is not firm. I found myself unable to balance in some poses, because it was like doing yoga on a foam mattress. It is also too lightweight. It slid on the floor during the class. I returned this product after just one use.
