Plastic looks real enough for my family heritage photo booth. The horns detach for packing and I think I might save these for my next Viking invasion.

bought for a kid,its pretty big,but so's he. Would fit adult. Very soft plastic,Horns held, but the point on top, would not stay in,due to softness of plastic. Once its dented, thats it.So,duct taped from the inside.Could be sturdier,but looks cool, and very light.

I used these for writing awards with ywp.nanowrimo.org. It works if you wear them for a short time. Cheap but fairly durable. They squeeze the head a bit, but I wasn't using this for a costume that I would have to be in for hours. I'd say after one hour, you may want a break because the helmet is more oblong and oval than round. However, it worked great for my purposes, and my students enjoyed wearing them for a class period.

Bought this for my nephew and he loves it uses it alot he has used it to run into this like a bull and such, and it's still undamaged . Very well made.

It's a little too small for people with big heads. It's a tight fit. I like to wear it in the gym and work out like a mother effing bearded Viking.

Helmet is for small head, if you have a pumpkin on your shoulders it will look ALOT funnier.

They are inexpensive and light weight. They aren't too comfortable to wear for a long time because the lower rim is thin plastic and curls in toward the wearer's head. But if you have a good head of hair or wear a sweat band or something to pad your head, they are OK. From a distance they look great, up close they are obviously plastic but you get what you pay for. All in all a good value.
