First of all let me say that the water that is filtered from this system is the best water I have ever had. However I would like to share a couple of parts that made the set up a lot more secure. After a huge mess made from the inlet water connector, I went to a “big box” store and purchased these 2 products pictured. It makes the inlet water connection worry free, and very secure. Do yourself a favor, if you order this great water filter system, get these parts as well.

Won't produce water after 6 months of 1-2 gallons daily use, recently checked tds and little difference in reducing from unfiltered.

Love the product but what is this film that develops after pouring water out? The unit is faily new and we ran it for quite a bit before we started using it.

Purchased the ROES-50 to run a ROM for an icemaker/water dispenser in a refrigerator. I have low PH water and use sodium bicarbonate to raise the PH. This adds sodium to my drinking water which is not good to consume in quantities. This system will remove 95 of sodium among other things. The water tastes far better now.Pros: great tasting water, pre bundled, straight forward installCons: A drain line is needed to be drilled into a drain pipe. I did not have a drain line as the sink was not near by. I needed to buy added couplers and tubing and cut into the wall and drill through the floor to take it down in the crawl space to tie into a drain line. While it says it is 4 gallons tank that is at best with 70 PSI you may get about 3 gallons. at 40 PSI you will be under 2 gallons according to the manual. I am a well system with 60 PSI at the well. This runs about through about 150 feet of pipe and a sand filter. My pressure is much less. It also indicates for an icemaker that may have pressure requirements you man need to add a permeate pump to boost pressure. The instructions say to install the faucet so that you can drain the system through the faucet. That is not possible over at my fridge as I am just a refrigerator cold line in. I had to take the output of the system and T it to a shutoff valve and then in the drain line for flushing. For a refrigerator, i also placed shutoff valves at the cold inlet to the system since the fridge shutoff is behind the fridge and I do not want to have to move the fridge for maintenance of the RO system. I also put a shutoff valve on the output of the RO to the icemaker.
