The laptop is beautiful and lightweight as advertised, however I wasn't unable to get it on immediately. I plugged it in and left it for about an hour and then tried again and it came on.

I've had this computer for 3 years now and I have had no issues with it. I did buy it for school so, it's meeting those needs perfectly. Just this year the fan has been a little loud but only if I'm covering the back of the grate where the fan is. It's bigger/longer than most laptops which makes it a little harder to find bags or covers for but again, no real issues.

Lots of great features for such a reasonable price. It works well in every way, except that it arrived with 1 USB port working off and on. Not something I use often, but as on now, none of them work. It's irritating. For the times I simply need to transfer a file. And it's been this way since September or October, so the ports didn't even last a year. Otherwise a good buy.

Right side hinge broke with normal use and screen began distorting. Would never purchase another Acer. Unable to repair hinge.

The listing clearly states the finger print scanner is on the mouse pad and shows that in the photos. My laptop came in today and does not have the finger print scanner. I was really bummed about the because I thought that was cool. Still a great laptop and there's no way I'll go through the hassle of re-packaging and mailing it back. Still seems like a great laptop. So far still pretty happy with the purchase.

I got this to use as a windows laptop to try out windows 11. I wasn't sure what the S mode was about, but it was cheap and had decent specs.Windows S mode is basically windows with only MS App Store apps. this is great for security, but obviously limits your ability to use other apps that normally you'd download from the internet.however, you can unilaterally move out of Windows S mode.Screen is nice, its full HD so it's nice and sharp. the resolution is good, but the screen it self is adequate. its anti-glare, but the colors are a bit dull compared to my Samsung monitors. refresh rate is ok.Processor is a bit on the light side for heavy work, its a 4 core, 8 thread with up to 4ghz.it does have 8gb of ram, DDR5, but I couldn't find any option to upgrade that. looking at the motherboard I dont see any sockets, and being DDR5 I assume its soldered to the board.the only main thing I dont like, is that the power supply is very unique, however this model can charge with the USBC port.overall, its a very snappy computer. I used the laptop to do some camera testing and it held up without any issues, running a 20MP camera at 20fps, without any drops or skips, which is pretty impressive. CPU test with CineBench is pretty low. 4500 -which is 1/2 my MacBook Air M1.Overall a nice light laptop that has decent battery and nice large screen.

I like the feel of the laptop and the screen is decent quality. However, it re-boots at least once a day without warning, and I haven't been able to get a good response on how to fix whatever is causing it. Quite frustrating for what otherwise is a good product.

Screen size and picture quality are great. No problem with setup. I have exact year older model and very glad to see they redesigned the hinge on new model. For gaming could use more ram but that is more money. Individual choice. Very happy with this for my needs.

The track pad is off centered and its kindof hard to use. The computer is pretty fast and gets the job done.

This is the cheapest good brand laptop I have ever reviewed.It is NOT meant for gaming for many reasons:- Not enough video memory- Hard Drive way too small.- Processor not powerful enoughIt is meant for youtube browsing, checking your mails, reading the news, maybe watch a movie but not much more.I am also very frustrated by the lack of USB ports (it only has 2 USB-A and one USB-C) and no micro SD port.If you want to make it better, it is necessary to open it and void the warranty to add a larger hard drive and maybe see to add more ram.In conclusion:Nothing fantastic but for the price, it is still hard to beat. 4 stars.

I got this to replace my aging Acer, which could no longer be updated. It has most of the features that I had loved but not the combination of the backlit keyboard and touch screen (I had to give up the touch screen). It's more sleek than the previous model but doesn't seem as sturdy. The screen seems unstable/flexible when opening it such that I feel like if I pulled up on only one corner, I could crack it (at the hinges or the screen itself).Otherwise, I am happy with my purchase. It's definitely faster and the picture quality is good. Sound is a little weak but I don't use it for music so that's not an issue. My only complaint is that it came with a lot of bloatware. I am still dealing with that annoying Norton antivirus notification, even though I have repeatedly said NO! (I already transferred my previous program to this machine.)

Once the Microsoft Store Bloatware was deleted the setup went fine. There are other software included but not restrictive.The screen colours and speed are good.It will take some time to adjust to the 15 inches vs my old HP desktop.

I needed a new computer for school and this one fit my budget and had everything I needed. The on thing that lacks on this is the speakers are herrendous. You have to wear headphones or connect to an outward device. At 100 volume it sounds like it’s on maybe 15.

This is a great computer for the price and I am very happy to have it. I have bought earlier versions a couple times and I like it, but there are some keyboard layout issues you might want to consider. This is not my main text editing computer but when I use it for that, it is a bit of a trial that the up and down buttons are so small and that in NumLock mode which I prefer, the four main movement keys are unaccessible: Home, End, PgUp, and PgDown. Also, the keyboard light times out pretty fast and the onky option to fix it is to go into the bios and turn off the keyboard light timeout  which is not hard but may be daunting for many users. Here's my quick tutorial: 1) Restart computer, 2) when screen goes blank start spamming F2 button including during Acer logo screen and the bios interface will load, 3) use right arrow to get to next page pf bios and look for Keyboard light timeout which will be set to Enabled, 4) use down arrow to highlight that line and F6 to change it, then F10 to save and exit and confirm with Enter key. Not hard but be careful not to change anything else while you are in there.

It's great honestly, however I find that the buttons to click/select things using the mousepad gets “stuck” at times, often times I have to click multiple times; it's like it's sensitive. But that's honestly my only complaint with it.
