I had a bad case of tennis elbow... had a cortizone shot and was not using my arm. was so frustrated, i couldn't even use my arm! tried this product in the medium, i would recommend the most flexible version (light) because i started using it and it irritated other tendons. but take it easy, don't over do it and it seems to really help. along with ice, massage and flex stretching. it can also be used to hold like a tennis racquet and wiggle around to strengthen micro muscles. as well as for chest crunches. i also changed my racquet to a heavy, light head with hi flex and hi quality strings. i am better than normal now!

Not bad, seems to work for the wrist and the grip. I am a professional arm wrestle and I approve this product. It provides good wrist strength, and many different exercises for the forearms.

Working the Flex bar after the onset of pain seems to relieve the pain almost immediately. However, I've been using it for four weeks and it doesn't seem to prevent the pain -- just alleviate it. Maybe I need to keep at it longer? Also, I have the heaviest weight (blue) and it doesn't seem to offer much resistance, but I'm not sure if it's supposed to. I actually found that twisting a towel seems to work almost as well. I'll give it more time and update my review later.

I've given it only 4 stars since I don't yet have complete relief of my pain.I think the instructions are not clear enough with regards to how much pain is expected when using the device and how much is too much (it's been a trial and errorpath for me with this "heavy" bar...I can surely twist it the recommended times, but I do experience pain and it hasn't been relieved as fast as I expected from reading numerous reviews). I am going to try starting with the lighter (medium) strength green bar and eventually progressing to the blue bar before I give these products a definitive personal review. I do feel I've made some progress...it is just that were the instructions a bit clearer, I think I would have made even more...to the point of having almost no pain in my lateral elbow joint (epicondylitis).

My doctor diagnosed my tennis elbow in September and had me wear one of those bands on my arm. After about a week, it had only gotten worse. I did a little research online and read about this item, so I figured I'd give it a try. I started with 5 reps at a time, 3 times a day. After a week, I went up to 10 reps, and after another week, I went up to 15 reps. For the first couple of weeks, I saw no improvement. Once I got up to 15 reps, it seemed like it was getting a little better, but I wasn't sure it wasn't just in my mind. I kept at it, though (stubborn, I am), and after a couple more weeks, the improvement was undeniable. It has now been about two months, and my elbow feels oh-so-much better. I still have a little pain, but nothing like it was. Now, I can't say for sure that this thing was what did it, but I didn't do anything else. It sure beats drugs or surgery!I used the green bar. I'm an average-sized woman without particularly good upper body strength, and it seemed about right for me.

Having suffered from tennis elbow for about two years, I am always looking for products to reduce discomfort. I found the "heavy" Flexbar to be helpful in building up strength and muscle in my elbow. I would recommend this product to anyone with tennis elblw.

The Flexbar arrived quickly and is as promised -- flexible plastic bars for strengthening arms, wrists and hands. I bought two different strengths to help with my tendonitis, or "computer elbow." Although I look a little odd doing the exercises in the car (not while driving!), it has definitely helped, so I can recommend them. Simple, low-tech and cheap, but well-made!
