It's just a little tall and doesn't quite fit like Radar's on MASH

My husband wanted this hat because he wanted the Radar from MASH look. It does not fit that way. There is extra fabric at the top that sticks up (Reason for 4 stars). Otherwise, my husband reports that it is comfortable and warm during his weekly hiking adventures.

I love the look of this replica jeep cap! Looks just like the one Radar O'Riley wore in the show 'MASH! It's very comfortable as well. I did take away one star as I believe, with the loose weave of the cap's construction, I don't think it would provide much protection from the wind. Other than that, it's a great product!

Fits

I bought two of these, one w/ brim, one w/o brim, both were super loose and floppy, so I stuck them in hot water and agitated them, and that put them in their place. Now they hold shape. Pictured is the brimmed hat before and after intentionally shrinking. No longer floppy and loose, and when you hold it up to light a lot less light is visible through the knit, so I imagine it will hold heat better now. I emulsified lanolin into some Eucalan detergent and had that in the hot water while I agitated the hats (squeezing, pushing, swishing them around), then after they were visibly shrunken and starting to get a little felted I put them into the washer on spin for just a minute or so to get most of the water out, then I put them into the dryer on high heat and stood next to it, checking them every 5 minutes and putting them on my head. After 10 or 15 minutes, checking a couple times, they were mostly dry, and had better shape, and a tighter knit, I laid them over a line to finish drying.I know everything I did to these hats is pretty much counter intuitive to how wool is supposed to be treated, but these hats needed it, and they seem better for it. Considering the inexpensive cost, and ease of fitting them, I think it's worth it to buy these hats over expensive name brand wool hats that may have better fit and style out of the box.

My G.I. Radar cap arrived as promised. I had bought several similar caps several years back that I had enjoy during the cold or wet weather. Since I had last one and the other was showing the wear so I bought this. I also bought my military cap pins to install on it.

This hat is super warm and comfortable! Very well made in the USA. I love the short bill visor it has! Great value!

Pretty solid. It will be pretty itchy and uncomfortable at first. Especially if your working outside, but once you wear it in, it's a comfy and warm hat.

RADAR!! lil' tight in the beginning. A bit of use and fit perfect.

fits good, i have a 22.5" circumference head and a lot of hair. stays on whle skating with my hair tucked up inside or let down. Not 'thin' per se, while light does shine through, and it's not windproof, the hat is still nice and warm. much better than fleece watchcaps

What can I say, this is nothing if not a proven design. A little small but, it will be fine after a few snow blowing sessions. I need the small visor for sun protection after eye surgery. My boonie hat isn't warm enough for winter.

Unless you're looking for a $30 - $40 reproduction, this is as good as any other.
