I wore them as an undergarment on a 2 mile walk yesterday, my legs were warm and I found them comfortable I have 3 pr of Under Armours I a going to toss and replace with theseas I really hate their skin tight fit.

These are commercial versions of the military Extended Cold Weather Clothing System. They're also similar to polypro underwear from many major brands. They're just as good and a lot cheaper. These are amazing as a base layer and they really help keep you warm with minimal bulk.

I've been wearing these under my motorcycle pants. They are great in summer weather for wicking and keeping me pretty cool and giving a comfortable soft feel against the skin. When I am camping I can throw on a pair of shorts over them around the campsite and still be comfortable. These are similar to some snowboard silk weight pants that I have been wearing but these are more breathable. I like these enough that I also ordered the tops but have not received them yet.

I've read a lot of mixed reviews regarding these Rothco bottoms so I was prepared for the good and the bad. By chance it happened to drop to 17 F the week they arrived so I had a chance to wear them early in the morning at 5:30 a.m. and sit in a freezing car while it warmed up. My legs were nice and toasty underneath my khakis. I have sciatica from a car accident in my twenties so my right leg is a little stronger than my left leg and that makes me get a chill really easily. These bottoms kept the chill away just fine. As for the Rothco thermal tops they leave a lot to be desired I do not like them but these bottoms are perfect. I bought two pair and I will probably end up buying two more for these Colorado Winters. To be honest I recommend the Under Armour gen 3 stage 1 long sleeve coupled with the ecwcs stage 2 waffle top along with these Rothco bottoms underneath all of your clothes and you probably won't even need a coat when leaving the house.
