Good product

Worked like a charm. My neighbor is an AC tech and has replaced this a few times since we got the whole AC system replaced 12 years ago. They don't last as long they used to because they're not filled with nasty PCB's anymore. My outside unit kept on randomly freezing up because this thing was starting to fail. I'm taking away one star because it not the exact same size as the OEM capacitor so I had to jury rig it in there with zip ties. The outside diameter is way bigger, but it's a match as far as the specifications for my Carrier MDL 25HPA530A0031010 HEAT PUMP.Not sure why there's a rating for durability here since only time will tell if it's gonna last.

Item not installed yet just a back up

Electrically, a perfect replacement for my Trane XVi air conditioner. As others have mentioned, it's a little bit smaller in diameter than the original GE capacitor, but that just meant putting in some two-sided tape to make the clamp hold it. Durability gets four stars until I get at least two cooling seasons out of it to know if it'll hold up as well as the 17-year-old dual-farad starter capacitor it replaced. However, after a month of summertime use, it works without a problem.

Easy to install, reasonably priced, Durability is yet to be seen!
