Great book with som well mapped an guided hikes to beautiful spots, whether or not you intend to take a photo. Guidelines for photographers as we well as the exposures and time of day for photos shown are a definite bonus!

Fantastic book for hiker and photographer present in every able-bodied individual. I've lived in Maryland all my life and after doing my own exploring, I figured I'd check what else is out there. Unfortunately the internet is often outdated(!), unorganized, and hard to reliably find good trail heads/parking/view points in one place. Mr Brown's book is a fantastic addition to any hiker in the Maryland and surrounding area. Great introduction for the novice hiker/photographer, with great introductions (concise yet informative) to what each trail has to offer. His photography is also top-notch, and it's always nice to hear a trail-runners perspective on different trails. A welcome addition to anyone's book shelf, I'll be scrolling back through this book every spring for my next daytime adventure.
