My Rheem/Ruud furnace was making a loud buzzing noise when it wasn't running. I suspected the transformer so I ordered this one which was listed as a replacement for mine.The new transformer has the same specs but the laminated core is longer. In the attached picture, the new transformer is on the left. And although the transformer fit in the mounting bracket, the existing screws were too short. Fortunately I had some trim screws that worked. The transformer does not come with any mounting hardware.Once installed, wiring it up consisted of removing the old wires and replacing them with the new wires of the same color. The old and new wires had female terminals on them so I just had to pull off the old wire and push on the new one. Very easy. The majority of the installation time was spent finding screws that were long enough.I powered on the furnace and there was no buzzing. It's been running for about a week with no issues so I'm very pleased with the purchase.

Worked perfect. Replaced this and the heater AC was back up immediately.
