I bought one of these 6 years ago. Worked really well for about 5 of them, and I've used it probably 20 times in that timeframe. I had a feeling something was wrong when I went to charge it this spring, and it said it was full pretty much immediately. But I put it back in the truck and forgot about it, until I went to jump a car with it (4cyl Pilot) and it seemed low, as in it didn't want to crank over the vehicle. Still said it was full. Went to use it again to start my own work van that I had left the dome lights on a bit too long, and same thing. Says full, but didn't have the oomph to kick over a 6 cyl. I cracked it open, thinking hey, 6 years, I'll just buy a battery, and I wanted the OEM. So yeah, that's 40$ LESS than I paid for the jump pack. Keep in mind, I paid about what it goes for now (150$) and the battery is 108$. So since I had it open, I hooked as smart charger to it and hey! Battery taking a charge and was only at about 30. Not the battery at all, either a board or the internal charger has failed. I bought this because they get great reviews, and seemed like the top of the game as far as jump packs go. But 6 years? With it being used like 3X a year? And by the way, never past the duty cycle. Never overheated it.
