I use this to make french press coffee. This does a good job mellowing the harsh taste of some coffees.

I like the tastes and flavor of this Chicory root, but it is definitely granular. Works good for steeping but I prefer to just mix it in with my coffee for the pre-biotic fibers. I took the entire bag and ran it through my coffee grinder to make it into more of an expresso blend powder.Kind of messy, but works great.

I do grind it a bit more, but I prolly don't have to. I'm adding it to coffee for the edgy flavor that the chicory adds. Not ready for 100 cuppa chicory, and I have not shopped/tasted around. I like Starwest Botanicals but cannot recall, if all of their offerings are organic, which definitely matters!
