The inserts it comes with are completely useless to me. Reference-sheets are cool and for someone new to Damp;D it might be nice, but I’m not new so they aren’t. Some people like to make to make things awful for themselves and DM more than 4 players so it’s frustrating that the player reference sheet only supports 4. I do not see myself ever using these sheets ever, I’d rather make my own. Save for the “tome” covers, those look nice and I was expecting those to be baked onto the screen itself. To see that EVERY side is customizable is very nice. Especially when you can use dry erase markers. That said, the dimensions of the sleeves are also strange and while the given inserts fit them just fine (after some effort), regular letter-size (8.5”x11”) paper will leave room on the sides while exactly hitting the top of the sleeves, which looks very strange. If you can somehow get something closer to 9.5” x 10.5” it might look significantly better. But I find it ironic that despite having sleeves like this they aren’t that well-suited to the most common printer dimensions. It’s not as friendly for the DIY crowd as you’d think. Oh and you have to fold this up in a VERY specific order. It does not like being folded the wrong way and you’ll know when you get it wrong within seconds of trying to pack it up. To be honest though, these are nitpicks at best. It’s still the best I could find and is legitimately good for the price. If you do like doing DIY stuff and want a similar “vibe” of fantasy-styled paper for your own inserts, look into Homebrewery. If you are willing to learn its specific flavor of markdown you can get inserts that look VERY close to these but with more customizability.

Other than having to fight the paper into the laminated pocket it's been great, but they sure aren't going anywhere. They give all the info you should need on the fly for either pathfinder or 5e. Overall looks and feels pretty solid

Its great, but I agree with everyone saying its too tall. The next version should have the pages sit in landscape, not portrate. Other than that, its great.

My came with some pages that define dnd rules, but I don't think they were 5e, so they could be for anything i guess. Anyway, book has handled some use and punishment well.

I bought this because my 13-year-old son was showing interest in playing dungeons and dragons with some of his friends. When I was a kid, we didn’t have many options and accessories for Damp;D, which was much more of a game of complete imagination. Now they have everything under the sun to make it look and feel like a board game, so I was intrigued. Real problem is that kids today don’t have the patience or the imaginations to really commit to this type of game. My only advice is try to gauge how serious the players are before you purchase these types of accessories. Other than that, it was made well and nothing wrong with it. Wish I had this when I was a kid.

Comes with 5e references and Pathfinder references. A simple print job could get you any quick-ref charts for any system you could want. Really handy! Definitely a good buy!

The plastic will give away and the sleeves are weak. It's too big for my DM bag by about 0.5" in both dimensions, so it makes traveling with it annoying. Soft pass unless you're hard up for a screen.

This is awesome. My husband loves it. It comes with a bunch of helpful papers and things. Aaaand. I’m sorry I’m not the dnd expert but for a beginner he LOVED IT.

I was in love with this until I realized that at least one of the entries is just plain wrong. In Damp;D 5E, Frightened inflicts disadvantage on attack rolls and ability checks while the source of fear is within line of sight. This sheet says that a creature suffering from the condition has disadvantage on all attack and defense rolls while the source of fear is within line of sight. This is radically different, and implies that attacking enemies have advantage/the enemies have disadvantage on saving throws against spells while frightened. Pretty peeved at the moment, as this has certainly had a major impact in multiple of my fights.

The 4 panel width supports all the space I need for slide-in inserts. I swap out the inserts periodically to change the landscape/background my player's see depending on the story location. On my side, I'll swap out inserts based on the rules and details I'm most likely to need for the next session. Figured this would last a little while, then become beat-up, flimsy or torn like old Trapper Keepers. But nope, the thing is still going strong. This screen is even subjected to direct sunlight most mornings and shows no signs of fading.

The best versatile DM screen I've seen for someone new to DMing or just simply wanting to avoid spending tons of money on one. Each fold has a pocket for cheat-sheets and each is dry erase as well. Completely customizable.

Update: after bending it at the places it's supposed to fold for a couple months, the hinges (I guess that's what they're called) have cracked. I'm still using it but waiting for it to fall apart. I'm willing to tape this thing though, because I still use the notes inside it. This is the best thing! I'm new to Damp;D and dropping right into a DM role, so I can't tell you how helpful this screen is. It's great material and quality, and the print outs are awesome. I'm not sure which side of each I need, but I guess I'll figure that out very soon. I definitely put in the outer inserts in the wrong order but I can always fix it because they're removable. I love that I can write all over this thing with dry erase. Tip for others: you can use Sharpie on any dry erase compatible surface, if you want it to not wipe off all the time, and just use hand sanitizer to remove it. I haven't tried it on my DM screen, but I'll try it on a small corner that's unimportant first. I'm just so happy to find a great screen that isn't $50
