After reading several reviews, it was difficult to figure out if this socket still has the 7/8 hex on the end as the picture shows. I can confirm that the one I received on 12/12/17 does not. It looks as if when Lisle moved production of this tool from the USA (as it states on the package) to China (as it is marked on the socket, then changed several of the specifications. First, the socket now has an overall length of 6 1/834;. The outer diameter is almost exactly 134;. The 3/434; broached depth for the cage nut is a little over 134;. The internal depth for the screw of the cage bolt is 534;. The drive end of the socket now has two holes for either a ball or pin type retainer. How well will it hold up? Time will tell I guess. It may not be as described, and I don't think that it is an intentional deception from Lisle, but rather whoever decided to make the design changes likely doesn't communicate with whoever does the packaging or writes up the tool descriptions for reseller use. I'm still satisfied enough with it that I am not going to return it. As a professional wrench for over 30 years, I have purchased more specialty items from Lisle than I want to think about, and it is extremely rare that I have been disappointed.

I use this to help when changing brake chambers. My only issue is that mine came without the hex on the end of the socket that allows you to either use a wrench or ratchet.

Awesome value as big box companies want to charge 60 or 70 for this socket. Missing a star as it does not latch onto your anvil like normal impact drive sockets do so I tends to slip off when your impact wrench is pointed down, but still worth it considering the price.
