I took them out of the box, applied some Huberd's shoe grease, and hiked six miles in them. Not quite broken in yet but my feet are fine. I have pretty tough feet though. I'll post an update in awhile.

Wore these to work today as a fence installer, and my feet are not hurting by the end of the day, which is a HUGE plus. I am able to walk and carry 80 pounds of material in these and I feel like I can just step on anything and my feet will be perfectly safe! I do feel like my right heel is rubbing a little hard inside the boot, but that may be a number of factors not pertaining to the boots themselves. Overall, I grade these an A! Hope they can stand the concrete and water mix! Fingers crossed!

These are awesome boots to have. Used to work as an inspector with lots of heavy equipement, tools, and such about. It was basically part of my basic PPE rain or shine. The fit is excellent and I feet didn't feel damp/hot during summer or dry/cold in winter (then again its SoCal so it is not too cold or too hot). It saved my feet more than once from sharp edged products to 50 plus lbs tools.Now that I'm in the office most of time its kind of overkill. Still, its quite fashionable and I'm at least two inches taller too.

They feel great but I've switched the insoles cause the ones that come with it stink. I wear a size 9.5 and they feel loose but with a thick insole, they are my summer boots..they are not Waterproof

I have wide flat feet and have struggled to find work boots that fit the width of my feet for years now. My major problem is that my pinky toe often bumps into the protective toe cap, rendering work boots nearly unwearable. I bought Alaska 2.0 from Cat because they looked plenty wide, the toe cap looked large, and you really can't go wrong with cat, can you?The pros: The wides are plenty wide. My foot fit in comfortably, my toes fit in the steel cap without issue. If you have wide feet, these boots in a wide won't do you wrong. They are heavy, as they are welted, and extremely sturdy boots. Impressive over all.The Cons: if you have flat feet or feet with a lower arch, these are the oddest most uncomfortable shoes you will ever wear. I've never in my life worn shoes that felt so uncomfortable to my arch immediately upon putting them on. I even tried them on after removing the insole and that did not help. The arch is simply in the construction of the boot.

Caterpillar has and still makes the best work boot as far as I'm concerned. I work in a foundry. Have for almost five years. With that being said, my boots take a beating six to seven days, up to 84 hours a week. I've tried several other brands of boots, such as wolverines, dr Martens, etc, etc. My work place provides a free pair of steel toe work boots once a year. When I went to get my new ones this time around, they didn't have my CAT's on the list anymore. I wasn't going without them. Caterpillar boots stand up when other boots won't. The safety aspect is perfect. As well as ergonomics, and construction. Love the steel shank over a plastic one. Also very comfortable, and fit as expected. Waterproof is definitely plus right now with snow and sleet. I will always recommend this brand of boot.

I love these boots. I recently had to replace place them due to a pet smell I am unable to remove. They didn't have my 10.5 wide as I normally wear 10.5 double wide shoes. I tried the 10.5 hoping it was close, but no cigar. I opted for a slightly cheaper pair of Cat's in my size, but within a week and a half, a lace rivet opped out unprovoked. I am debating still wearing the Cat urine scented boots. That should tell you how dependable and comfortable they have been...

I love these boots, first time I tried them I knew I had to have them; They're comfortable to work in and I would highly recommend these to anyone. Here I have 7 month old boots and brand new ones, you can really see the difference
